• Theories and methodologies relating to management and project management and how they apply to the construction industry are presented.
• Focus is on issues affecting the management of construction projects at the site
• Site safety, quality and greenality are introduced as integrated parts of construction project planning methods.
• Critical path scheduling is presented
• Knowledge of issues related to sustainability in construction

• is able to follow and support the chosen management method
• is able to work in international construction project team
• appreciates factors affecting site productivity including the factors of quality, safety and greenality at the site level

Assessment criteria: level 3 (assessment scale 1–5)

A student
• understands the role and meaning of the project management in construction industry
• is able to apply the basic theories and methodologies of project management
• is able to run the chosen management method
• is able to work in international construction project team
• is able to manage factors affecting site productivity including the factors of quality, safety and greenality at the site level

Assessment criteria: level 5 (assessment scale 1–5)

• understand deeply the basic theories and methodologies of project management
