Implementation and methods of teaching
Online contact days Wednesday 27.3. and Friday 5.4. from 9 to 16. with lectures and workshop, learning tasks. The contact days are arranged together with degree students in Master in Urban Climate and Sustainability (MUR) programme. Students in Finnish programmes can prepare the individual courseworks in Finnish. Groupworks during contact days require working in English.
Timing and attendance
Participation in the contact days is highly recommended due to group works during the days.
Learning material and recommended literature
Will be published in Moodle.
Alternative completion methods
No compensatory tasks.
Working life cooperation
Courseworks are based on working life challenges and experiences.
Learning environment
Moodle is used as material bank for course materials, discussion and assignments. Zoom connection is available during the contact days.
Student time use and work load
The course is 5 credits which means about 127 hours of work including the contact days and work individually as well as in groups.
Contents
The aim of the course is to introduce some some approaches to the field of future research and opportunities to utilize future research methods in group works and individual course works. Historical changes in the society are discussed as well as the analysis of current situation and the impact of mega trends and trends on the working life. Methods like future wheel and scenario working together with future table are presented and practised.

Pre-course task, online contact days 17.3. and 27.3.2023 (9-16) with lectures and workshop, final task. The study course will be carried out simultaneously with the Finnish study course YT00CO00-3004 Yhteiskunnallinen muutos ja tulevaisuuden ennakointimenetelmät.
