Objective

The student is able to
- describe the epidemiology, symptoms, etiology, treatment and rehabilitation of the most common neurological diseases
- examine and explain the impact of neurological symptoms to an adult's physical ability
- plan, implement and evaluate evidence-based physiotherapy for adults with central nervous system disorder

Timing and attendance

Opiskelu on aikaan sidottua lukujärjestyksen mukaisesti viikoilla 40-51.
Opintojakson suorittaminen edellyttää läsnäoloa zoom- ja harjoitustunneilla. Tenttien hyväksyttyä suoritusta.

Simulaatiotyöskentely tai työelämässä tapahtuva oppiminen.

Exam retakes

Toteutuksen opetusajankohdat ovat nähtävissä toteutuksen lukujärjestyksestä. Tenttien ajankohdat ilmoitetaan Moodlessa. Uusintapäivä sovitaan opettajan kanssa.

Lukujärjestyksen mukaisesti verkko-opetusta ja lähitunteja kampuksella sekä työelämässä.

Student time use and work load

Opintojakso kuormitus jakautuu 11 viikon ajalle. Oppimistehtävät on ajoitettu niin että alussa on itsenäistä lukua ja neurologian tentti. Tämän jälkeen on sekä lähitunteja että etäopetusta.

Opiskelija tunnistaa yhteydet yleisimpien neurologisten sairauksien epidemiologian, oireet, etiologian, hoidon ja kuntoutuksessa.
Opiskelija tunnistaa neurologisten oireiden vaikutuksia aikuisen toimintakykyyn
Opiskelija tunnistaa suunnitelun, toteutuksen ja arvioinnin perusteita.
Opiskelija tiedostaa saamiaan tuloksien käyttämisen tarpeellisuuden päätöksenteossa sekä asiakaslähtöisen, tehtäväkeskeisen fysioterapian suunnittelussa ja asiakkaan ohjauksessa.

Opiskelija osaa kuvata yleisimpien neurologisten sairauksien epidemiologian, oireet, etiologian, hoidon ja kuntoutuksen pääpiirteet sekä tunnistaa niiden yhteyden.
Opiskelija tunnistaa tarkoituksenmukaisia arviointikeinoja ja selittää neurologisten oireiden vaikutusta aikuisen toimintakykyyn.
Opiskelija osaa suunnitella ja toteuttaa näyttöön perustuvaa fysioterapiaa aikuisille henkilöille, joilla on keskushermostohäiriö.
Opiskelija käyttää saamiaan tuloksia kliinisessä päätöksenteossa sekä asiakaslähtöisen, tehtäväkeskeisen fysioterapian suunnittelussa ja asiakkaan ohjauksessa.

Opiskelija osaa kuvata yleisimpien neurologisten sairauksien epidemiologian, oireet, etiologian, hoidon ja kuntoutuksen pääpiirteet sekä ymmärtää niiden yhteyden.
Opiskelija osaa valita tarkoituksenmukaiset tutkimisen menetelmät ja ymmärtää neurologisten oireiden vaikutusta aikuisen toimintakykyyn.
Opiskelija osaa valita tarkoituksenmukaiset fysioterapiamenetelmät, ohjata ja arvioida näyttöön perustuvaa fysioterapiaa aikuisille henkilöille, joilla on keskushermostohäiriö.
-Opiskelija soveltaa saamiaan tuloksia kliinisessä päätöksenteossa sekä asiakaslähtöisen, tehtäväkeskeisen fysioterapian suunnittelussa.

Student understands the connection between the characteristics of different neurological disorders and the customer's symptoms
- select reliable methods for the functional assessment of rehabilitees
- design physiotherapy and understand it as part of multidisciplinary rehabilitation
- design and implement physiotherapy with a goal-oriented and rehabilitee-oriented approach
- describe the principles of active and task-oriented physiotherapy
- theoretical exam: 70% right to pass the exam

- select a range of reliable methods for the functional assessment of rehabilitees
- design physiotherapy as part of multidisciplinary rehabilitation with a goal-oriented and rehabilitee-oriented approach by applying the principles of active and task-oriented physiotherapy
