Implementation and methods of teaching
The course is face-to-face at the campus. It contains lectures and practical tasks.

Requires active presence during scheduled days.

Excursions to companies and/or fairs possible.
Student time use and work load
Building the know-how requires active participation.
The course is devided into three parts:
- Functional product's design and materials
- 3D printing for clothing
- What are "smart textiles"?
The first two parts contain practical tasks and experimentation. The third contains information retrieval and presentation.
Additional information for students: previous knowledge etc.
Basic know-how (equal to first year studies) about textile materials, pattern cutting and sewing.

Failed (0)
Fail if the previous not fullfilled.
Assessment criteria: assessment scale failed/approved
Student is able to
- recognize several functional textiles, products and technologies
- design and manufacture a functional clothing and accessory collection according to a separate criteria (provided by the teacher on the first day)
Practical tasks and presentations have been handed-in according to the schedule.
Practical tasks' quality meet the criteria.
min. 80% presence unless otherwise agreed with the teacher.
