Learning outcomes
The student is able to
• identify the role of communication in promoting social responsibility and sustainable development
• critically analyze communication messages for ethical implications
• apply responsible communication strategies for creating effective product descriptions.
Implementation and methods of teaching
The course will be taught online through Moodle and will consist of the students studying the course material independently and practising through exercises and assignments. The assignments consist of three written exercises and two written assignments (one assignment can also be completed in video format).
Timing and attendance
The course is taught is the 4th period of the spring semester of 2025.
The course does not have any contact / online lessons.
Learning material and recommended literature
Provided by the teacher on Moodle
Alternative completion methods
If the student has already achieved the learning outcomes of the course by for example, working in a company and completing the tasks where they applied the principles of responsible communication in practice, they can apply for Recognition of Prior Learning.
Exam retakes
The course has no exam.

Student time use and work load
The overall workload estimate is 27 hours of individual work, including studying the course materials, and completing exercises and assignments. The student will complete three written pass/ fail exercises and two written assignments (one assignment can also be completed in a video format).

A student fails to complete the exercises and/ or assignments in time or the submitted assignment repeatedly fail to meet the required criteria.
Assessment criteria: level 1 (assessment scale 1–5)
The student masters the contents of the course in a satisfactory way.
The exercises and assignments show some understanding of the topics, however, a student cannot apply the knowledge studied on the course to practical tasks.
Assessment criteria: level 3 (assessment scale 1–5)
The student masters the contents of the course well.
Exercises and assignments show that a student can apply some of the studied information to practical tasks. A student can use responsible communication strategies in practice on a satisfactory level.
Assessment criteria: level 5 (assessment scale 1–5)
The student masters the contents of the course in an excellent way.
Exercises and assignments show that a student can use the strategies of responsible communication very effectively and can apply the acquired knowledge to practical tasks.
