Implementation and methods of teaching
Explore different ways of using wood materials in visual art (for example, carving from a single piece, building a piece from parts or making structures). Explore wood-based materials (sheet wood, solid wood) and learn to distinguish between different types of wood. To learn about the technical processing of wood, its coating and further treatment. Learn how to maintain and use woodworking equipment. During the course, students will create a work of art of their own design, which may include materials other than wood.
The course starts with a short theoretical discussion and sketching of ideas.
Timing and attendance
During the course, it is essential that students monitor each other's progress, and mid-term critiques/discussions are held to assess the progress of each student's work. Attendance at critiques.

- Able to follow and describe the professional debate in their field
