The students are able to

Basic Chinese 1 is the first step of learning Chinese for international students. The course will teach Chinese phonetics and basic rules of reading Chinese phonetics, about 150 syllables frequently used in communication, over 300 Chinese characters and more than 40 grammar items as well as the topics foreigners are most likely to encounter in their studies, life, work and travel. This course is for beginner students.

Basic Chinese 1 is the first step of learning Chinese for international students. The course will teach Chinese phonetics and basic rules of reading Chinese phonetics, more than 600 syllables frequently used in communication, over 900 Chinese characters and more than 210 grammar items as well as the topics foreigners are most likely to encounter in their studies, life, work and travel. This course is for beginner students.
