Learning outcomes
The student is able to

Implementation and methods of teaching
The course is a virtual course. Also, assignments are done independently or in teams. There will be 4 contact learning sessions, which exact timing and content will be informed in the course´s Moodle platform.
Timing and attendance
The study module will start on the week 10 and last for eight weeks. It is recommended to participate contact learning sessions. The deadlines for assignments will be informed in the beginning of the study module.
Learning material and recommended literature
All materials used in the course will be achievable online and delivered in Moodle.
Alternative completion methods
All specific arrangements should be agreed with teachers in responsible of the course.
Exam retakes
Will be informed in the beginning of the course.

Student time use and work load
The average theoretical workload for this course is about 135 hours (5 ECTS). The main part of the study module´s workload consists of independent and group work. The time allocation for contact learning (lectures, workshops) is about 16 hours.
Contents
The course provides an introduction to the fundamentals of process engineering, with a focus on key concepts.
Commonly used methods of risk assessment are explored during the course.
Further more, after completing the course student has basic level ability to use AutoCAD software /Solid Works programmes.

All of the assignments given by teachers must be done (and approved). The more detailed evaluation criterias will be informed in the beginning of the study module.

The course focuses on resource efficiency (materials, water, energy) and mitigation of emissions in process industry.
The tools (LCA, Carbon footprint etc.) to evaluate the environmental impact of the production are introduced.
Further more after completing the course student has basic level ability to use AutoCAD software /Solid Works programmes.

During this course you will learn basics of sustainable process engineering and basics of 3D-modelling. These topics are divided into two sections:
