Implementation and methods of teaching

The course has four touchpoints for the student:

1) kickoff
2) a lesson
3) optional guidance session
4) deadline for the work

The course work can be done in groups.

Zoom-link provided seprately through Moodle for each meeting.

Timing and attendance

No mandatory participation in meetings. Recommended participation in the lesson and guidance.

Learning material and recommended literature

Materials provided by the teachers. Other materials needed are based on the chosen topic, which leaves the student partly responsible for finding them.

Optional prototype, which may provide you with extra credits

Working life cooperation

It is allowd to do the business plan for your own company or employer, but please make sure the stakeholders are fine with this.

Contents

On this course, the students form a business plan for a software product, emphasizing the distinct attributes of software business.

This includes ecosystems, business models, product life-cycles, cost structures, legal issues and ethics.

Additional information for students: previous knowledge etc.

No requirement for skills.

This course leads into Software Productization and Software Business Environment.

On this course, we look at the software development process from a business point of view. After the course, a student is able to understand the markets for a software product as well as analyze the lifecycle of a software product.

The course is based on independent work based on materials provided by the teacher and further research by the student.
