Learning outcomes

Students can
- understand texts on business, technology and/or health care
- use the basic Russian business, technological and/or health care terminology

Implementation and methods of teaching

Language of instructions: Finnish, English and Russian.
Online course: students work totally independently. By the end of the course, students will know the basic Russian terminology and understand texts on social and health care, business and technology.

Timing and attendance

Studying is completely independent and lasts for one period. Independent work is estimated to be about 80 hours. Time management and adherence of deadlines are important.

Learning material and recommended literature

Provided materials are on Moodle.

Exam retakes

The course is assessed on the basis of submitted obligatory assignments.

Current issues in Finnish and Russian social work, healthcare, business and technology. Inflection of numerals, passive voice, participles. Non-finite clauses.

Additional information for students: previous knowledge etc.

Students speaking Russian as the mother tongue are not generally accepted to the course.

Continuous assessment based on online assignments.
