Contents
Strengthening language from a health and nursing perspective
- Verbal and written interactions in nursing with a variety of skills and arguments
- Situational variation of language in nursing interactions (differences between formal and informal language)
- Expanding vocabulary related to one's own professional field
- Understanding and producing professional texts, e.g. epicrisis, medical reports, procedure reports, patient instructions
- Learning the basic structures of the Finnish language, e.g. recensions, verb tenses, varied tenses, conjunctions
- Reinforcing language learning strategies
- Pronunciation clarity

The knowledge of course Hoitotyön suomi 1 (A2).

Assessment criteria: assessment scale failed/approved

Student actively participates in contact teaching and pass all course assignments. In addition, the student passes the oral and written examinations of the course.
