Learning outcomes

The student is able to
- analyze and discuss contemporary phenomenons like urbanization and urban sprawl, transitions in urban areas, and collaboration of professionals and stakeholders
- evaluate recent development and planning processes, their management and arrangement of participation in the processes
- reflect on environmental issues from a professional point of view
- develop practical applications based on a theoretical background

Implementation and methods of teaching

The course contains lectures, group work and student presentations. Lectures deal with the topics defined in the goals of the course. The course has own Moodle implementation. Course tasks are a pre course task before the contact days, working during the contact days and a final task. The curse is carried out mostly online but it contains also a site visit.

There is an opportunity to follow the lectures online or listen the lecture recordings afterwards. If the student is not able to participate any contact days, it has to be discussed with the teacher before the contact days.

Learning material and recommended literature

Other study material will be specified in Moodle.

Alternative completion methods

Alternative ways of performance have to be discussed and agreed with the responsible teacher.

Student time use and work load

The student has to work before the contact days and after them. The total amount of hours is 5 x 27 hours.
