Implementation and methods of teaching

The course is a virtual online course with three scheduled virtual contact lessons. The course requires independent work as individuals and as working in a group.

Contents

The student learns to think like a strategist, to understand, utilize and develop the company's strategic resources, business environment, understand future change factors to improve company's competitiveness factors. The selected approach is non-traditional but effective and future-oriented.

The main themes of the course are:
- strategy analysis & strategic analysis
- strategic futures
- strategic decision-making
- strategic performance and change management

Throughout the course, diverse information sources will be utilized, artificial intelligence is tested in strategic context. The main objective is to encourage, improve and strengthen the students' ability to work in strategic tasks.

Assessment criteria: level 1 (assessment scale 1–5)

The student understands the essential trends of the business context and identifies essential issues that must be taken into account when developing future business opportunities. The student can form a strategy and evaluate possible futures based on it.

Assessment criteria: level 3 (assessment scale 1–5)

The student is able to process future related information in the business context and present issues to be considered in the strategy process. The student can evaluate and explain alternative future strategies and propose the most suitable option to the decision-makers.

Assessment criteria: level 5 (assessment scale 1–5)

The student can analyze all three levels of the business environment, acquire relevant future information in the business environment and process it throughout the strategy process. The student can analyze and present alternative strategic futures for decision-making. The student is able prepare a road map for analyzing strategic performance and set milestones for strategic evaluation.
