The development task is a work life-oriented task intended for a student of the first aid training with a background in nursing. In the process of the development task, the student gets the skills to produce new knowledge and innovations, which can be used for effective and effective activities in social and health care.

The development task usually has a mandate from working life. The nature of the development task is to renew a service process or operating model, inculcate good practices, solve a practical problem, develop new work methods or innovations. It is essential that the results of the work can be used. Students can also continue the topic of their previous thesis and deepen their related professional knowledge with, for example, an operational part.

The writing template of the LAB University of Applied Sciences' thesis is used for writing the development assignment report.

The blog post follows the LAB Focus editorial board's author guidelines. The writing work takes place in contact work with the supervising teacher
