The student learns:
- knows the basics of CNC machining
- knows the basics of the G code of a CNC machine
- can draw technical drawings and edit them with CAD software
- can create CNC toolpaths from a CAD model with CAM software
- knows the basics how to print a CAD model of a product with a 3D printer

Additional information for students: previous knowledge etc.

Prior knowledge: Basics knowledge of CAD.

Assessment criteria

Weekly assigments must be completed satisfactorily.

The student does not meet the requirements for digital modeling and manufacturing.

Assessment criteria: level 1 (assessment scale 1–5)

The student is able to produce 3D models with CAD software, create NC machine toolpaths from a CAD model and create G-code of the model with a 3D printer according to the instructions.

Assessment criteria: level 3 (assessment scale 1–5)

The student is able to produce models with CAD software in a variety of ways, create toolpaths from an CAD model on an NC machine and create G-code from a model with a 3D printer and justify the choices made.

Assessment criteria: level 5 (assessment scale 1–5)

In addition to the previous knowledge and skills, the student has a developing attitude and the ability to transfer their knowledge to the entire work group.
