Contents

The objective of the course is to form an understanding of production planning and the impact of operational systems on a company's operations, profitability, and manufacturing.

Course contents:

Production planning and production systems in batch production
Product information management
Fundamentals of layout design
Basics of method planning
Fundamentals of manufacturing cost estimation

Additional information for students: previous knowledge etc.

Prerequisite skills:
Welding and sheet metal course
Machining course

Exam 25 %
Exercises 75 %

The student has not successfully completed the exercises and exam included in the course.

Assessment criteria: level 1 (assessment scale 1–5)

The student demonstrates their understanding of the basic concepts of production technology through successfully completed practical exercises and exam.

Assessment criteria: level 3 (assessment scale 1–5)

The student demonstrates mastery of the fundamental concepts of production technology and can apply their previously acquired knowledge in practical exercises and exams.

Assessment criteria: level 5 (assessment scale 1–5)

The student demonstrates a thorough mastery of production technology and exhibits excellent skills in applying their knowledge in practical exercises and exams.
