Objective

The student will be able to
- expand their knowledge and skills in spatial art and sculpture and its possibilities
- deepen their knowledge of materials and techniques and the means of expression they enable
- evaluate their own expression in relation to the three-dimensional tradition and current phenomena perceive the characteristics of three-dimensional art, the thinking inherent in the art form and use these in their own expression
- theoretical, methodological and professional practices in the field
- follow domestic and international spatial art phenomena
- describe and analyze artistic work and production
- identify, evaluate and develop their own skills in relation to the art world
- contextualise their own and others' artistic work within the framework of the visual arts
- can verbalise their art and artistic work and master presentation practices
The student knows the discourses of fine arts, art history and the current state and theory of art.

The course requires 80% active attendance.

Contents

The course will deepen the perspectives and possibilities opened up by the basic course 'Spatial Art' on the basics of expression. Spatial art covers traditional sculpture, as well as methods and modes of expression in spatial art.

Initially, the course focuses on material experiments and techniques, followed by their application to artistic work. The course includes various material experiments, broadening the knowledge of different methods, and outlining one's own work within the framework of spatial art and contemporary art.

The content focuses on clay, ceramic clay, mould making and plaster casting, woodworking, machine working, metal exploration and their application in artistic expression. The dimensions of spatial art and the multidisciplinary possibilities of expression will also be explored.

- Can apply and develop a variety of options for their artistic work process
- Can use what they have learned in a planned and creative way in their work and apply the feedback they receive
- Can apply the methods they use and analyse works
- Able to assess, develop and extend artistic, content and technical competence
