Implementation and methods of teaching

The course starts with the basics of technical drawing. Students will independently complete a technical drawing presentation sheet, which includes drawings of how to describe, for example, the diameter or length of a piece in a technical drawing. The booklet will be kept as a note-taking tool for technical drawing exercises throughout the rest of the course.
The course will include exercises in technical drawing, drawing exercises in presentation methods, designing your own product, hand sketching, exercises in digital drawing, building a moodboard, putting together a presentation, presenting and drawing an idea to others. A presentation of your own product will be made, which will explain the whole process of sketching and designing the furniture, including technical drawings and illustrations of the furniture in its environment.

- a set of grey marker or copic pens. For example, shades 1-5

Assessment criteria: level 3 (assessment scale 1–5)

Students will master different presentation techniques and be able to apply them to their own work. Good quality work, active participation in the course. Students are able to effectively apply technical, hand drawing and perspective drawing skills to their work. The quality of the work is meticulous.

Assessment criteria: level 5 (assessment scale 1–5)

The student has a good command of different presentation techniques and demonstrates familiarity with them. No or only minor errors in technical drawing. High level of presentation in drawing of the idea and the process of creation of one's own project. Students are able to apply different techniques and actively develop their skills in them. The work shows development. The graphic layout and content of the presentation demonstrates familiarity.

Implementation and methods of teaching

Through lectures, exercises and visual material, you will learn about techniques, styles and uses of presentation methods in wearable design. Practise reproducing proportions and materials. Explore and compare the uses of presentation methods and their implementation.

Timing and attendance

Building competence requires active presence throughout the course. Attendance is compulsory at the start and end of the course

The total number of hours is divided into face-to-face lessons and independent work

Contents

The course teaches presentation methods in wearable design and their uses, as well as how to design and create visual presentations based on these techniques. The course includes the production of finished presentation sets and flat drawings, and an exploration of the possibilities and limitations of different presentation techniques. Practice interpreting images of wearable design, communicating and facilitating discussion through images.
