Discussions, exercises, lectures, excursions, group work, independent work
Timing and attendance
Acceptable completion of the course requires 80% class attendance and active participation in the planning and brainstorming of the publication concept.
Learning material and recommended literature
Literature will be announced during the course.
Learning environment
The course is mainly taught face-to-face at the Lahti campus. Some parts of the course can also be delivered via distance learning. Distance learning will be done via video link, for which the student must have a suitable quiet room. Suitable facilities can be found, for example, on campus.

Contents
The course will develop a concept for a future publication. The course includes the conceptualisation and design of the content, form and structure of the publication. It will also teach how to describe and present the concept and how to use the software used to design and produce the publication.

Assessment criteria: assessment scale failed/approved
An acceptable mark requires active participation in the teaching, discussions and publication brainstorming, as well as familiarity with the materials used in the course. The student must complete the assignments given in the course with an acceptable grade.
