Implementation and methods of teaching

Joint meetings at the Lahti campus, reviewing and taking forward students' projects during lessons, any relevant lectures, individual meetings at a distance or face-to-face as appropriate.

Timing and attendance

80% compulsory attendance or substitutes for face-to-face teaching. In case of high absenteeism, the course must be rescheduled with the teacher.

Contents

During the course, students will design and work on a photographic project, which will also be finalised as an exhibition. The thematic starting points of the projects vary according to the students' own interests. The course will explore different methodological solutions and students will find an approach suitable for their own project. At the end of the course, a group exhibition of the course works will be held.

Assessment criteria

The numerical mark (1-5) is based on the level of participation (attendance in class and promotion of own work) as a peer assessment. The assessment of the artistic work in the course will be given as an oral assessment in a feedback discussion of the work.
