Learning outcomes

Student is able to
- acquire an understanding of sustainability in the context of the supply chain
- define the four perspectives of supply chain sustainability and link them to a business context
- analyze and evaluate the sustainability implications of various supply chain concept
- assess the value and impact of sustainable SCM on a company’s competitiveness and strategy
- recognize sustainable supply chain future trends and innovations

Implementation and methods of teaching

Lectures, international workshops, individual and group work, literature dialogue.
Course will be held online.

Timing and attendance

Compulsory attendance in the first introduction lecture online. Attending to five international workshops, and literature dialogue are compulsory.
The course will be implemented with international partner Universities of Applied Sciences so the schedule is fixed.

Preliminary content:
Orientation and introduction to sustainability
Sustainability in the context of the supply chain
The four perspectives of supply chain sustainability and link them to a business context
The sustainability implications of various supply chain concept
The value and impact of sustainable SCM on a company’s competitiveness and strategy
Sustainable supply chain future trends and innovations

Additional information for students: previous knowledge etc.

Basics of logistics and Supply Chain Management.
Supply network, Logistics and Supply Chain Management or similar knowledge.

Individual learning portfolio, participation in international workshops, literature dialogue.
