- describe the basics of data transfer in wireless and wired communication channels.
- describe different modulation and coding methods
- use communication protocols that are used in IoT applications
- describe the data transfer chain from an IoT device to cloud

Modulation methods and communication protocols
Data's route through IoT pipeline from sensor to cloud
Additional information for students: previous knowledge etc.
The knowledge and skills from IoT project and Networking fundamentals courses are recommended as basis for this course or similar knowledge and skills aquired elsewhere.
