Learning outcomes
The student is able to
- prepare and deliver business presentations in English
- become aware of different techniques used in presentations
- understand the role cultural aspects play in presentations
Implementation and methods of teaching
Due to the continuation of the Coronavirus, the course will be implemented via real-time, live, online lessons (situation will be checked at autumn term project week). Lessons will last between 2 - 4 hours, depending on lesson theme (lecture lessons, student presentation lessons). Presentation assignments, i.e., student presentations, will be presented online (Zoom, real-time, live online, video camera on). All presentation assignments will be carried out during listed lesson times.
Timing and attendance
Course timing: for the duration of the term.
Attendance compulsory for first course lesson, real-time, live, online lesson.
Compulsory attendance for individual presentation day/date/time-slot.
All presentations must be presented within the course timing/duration in order to complete/receive a passing grade for the course.
No alternate course work/assignments given for missed presentations.

Moodle platform. All materials will be provided by the lecturer.

Exam retakes
Course examinations => presented presentations (individual) by the student.
All presentations must be presented (as progression schedule) within the course timing/duration in order to complete/receive a passing grade for the course.

Learning environment
Real-time, live, online lessons. Presentations (presentation assignments/individual presentations) will be presented via Zoom (online, real-time, live, camera-on) during lessons assigned for presentation days/dates/times.

5 ECTS = 135 hours of student work in total. I ECTS = 27 hours student work.
Contents
This course provides students with basic presentation and public speaking skills in English. The objective is to learn how to prepare and deliver audience-specific business presentations, in English.

No prerequisites.
Assessment criteria
Compulsory attendance to first course lesson via real-time, live, online lesson.
Completion of all course presentations (individual).
Students will receive their grades based on their performance during assessed presentations. Attendance at these assessed presentations compulsory.
All presentations must be presented (as progression schedule) within the course timing/duration in order to complete/receive a passing grade for the course.
No alternate course work/assignments given for missed presentations.
