Learning outcomes

Student is able to
- acknowledge the special issues of the elderly and work as a part of a multidisciplinary team in implementing physiotherapy for the elderly
- describe the occupational health care sector and the legislation regulating it
- promote occupational wellbeing and use new innovative tools and methods
- describe practices that support work ability and analyze working environments and their stress factors

Assessment criteria: level 1 (assessment scale 1–5)

Student
- be able to name the main occupational health and safety laws
- be able to analyze work and work with some of the most ergonomic methods used
- can describe changes in the functional ability of the elderly
- be able to support the functional capacity of the elderly

Assessment criteria: level 3 (assessment scale 1–5)

Student
- know the most important laws regulating occupational health and safety, and their main considerations
- know the most important physical, physical, psychological and social load factors
- know the role of good physiotherapy practice and the role of physical physiotherapist in occupational health care
- be able to analyze work and work with the most ergonomic methods used
- be able to support the elderly's functional capacity through physiotherapy
- be able to take into account the special issues of the elderly and acts as part of a multidisciplinary team when implementing physiotherapy for the elderly

Assessment criteria: level 5 (assessment scale 1–5)

Student
- manages the most important occupational health and safety regulations
- has adopted the good work physiotherapy practice and the role and tasks of the physical physiotherapist in occupational health care
- be able to analyze work and tasks by taking into account the physical, physical, psychological and social load factors of work
- can search for information in accordance with the different phases of the information retrieval process and justify the selection and use of data sources
- can compare operational solutions in physiotherapy to support well-being at work and elderly people`s health
- apply physiotherapeutic research and exercise to the needs of a multi-problem elderly client
