The student is able to
- justify the benefits of enterprise architecture in business development
- describe the business processes of a company
- describe the enterprise architecture of a company
Implementation and methods of teaching
Theoretical background
Students will read two books (announced later). After reading, “book discussion”- sessions will be held to discuss in a group about book topics. In these sessions students can show that they really have read the book. Students also prepare (max 1 a4) short summary document. Dates for discussions are decided later.
Practical
After reading the books (and discussions held), students will be devided into three teams (4-5 in one team) for practical plan and create EA assignment.

Contents
Enterprise Architecture (EA) frameworks and developing ICT services by utilizing EA framework and suitable process models. Enterprice architecture work in practise. After the course student should be familiar with EA work and frameworks used and be able to develop and manage ICT infra and service production by utilizing EA tools
Assessment criteria
Grade will be based on self-evaluation (20%), peer evaluation (20%) and returned independent and team assignments (60%)

Assessment criteria: level 1 (assessment scale 1–5)
student is able describe principles of the EA and different frameworks used. Student is able to describe the meaning of EA in developing and management of ICT infra in organization. Student is able to follow given instructions in teamwork.
Assessment criteria: level 3 (assessment scale 1–5)
Student is able to choose suitable EA framework to meet business and ICT infra requirements. Student is able to describe different EA framworks. Student is able to work as an active team member and help team to achieve it's goal
Assessment criteria: level 5 (assessment scale 1–5)
Student is able to compare different EA solutions to choose the best possible setup to meet the business requirements. Student is able to utilize EA concepts to improve processes. Student is active and takes leading roles in different team tasks.
