Learning outcomes

The student is able to
- find sources of finance for a company
- apply investment appraisal methods when making decisions
- use methods of international payments
- hedge against financial risks

Implementation and methods of teaching

Mandatory individual assignments
Group work
Mathematics sessions with exercises
Due to abnormal situation the course will be run via e-learning sessions
Feedback will be collected at the end of the course

Timing and attendance

Remote sessions according to the timetable
If absence, the student has to learn the topics handled independently at home
Note especially that advice and help on mathematics is mainly given during the remote sessions and the material, though viewable via Reppu, is not textbook material, but a presentation slide set. This means: skipping a lecture will mean the student has to search information from a proper textbook independently! Unless investment calculations have been studied in an earlier course in detail, the mathematics contact sessions come very, _very_ recommended.
