Learning outcomes

Students examine business processes within the organization as well as connections with external stakeholders. Students evaluate opportunities for operations brought by digitalization. They implement a plan for streamlining the selected part of the business, and they make a strategic plan for implementing change.

Implementation and methods of teaching

The individual preliminary tasks for participants before the beginning of the course. Expert lectures, development tasks, guidance and development task reviews on starting and ending days. One online guidance day.

Timing and attendance

In the autumn season of 2021, the contact days are 21.10. and 16.12.2021. Mandatory attendance on these days.

The student is able to describe in the organization's business processes and is able to evaluate possibilities of digitization in business process enhancement and business development. The student is able to create a digitization strategy for the organization.

The student has achieved the objectives of the course in an excellent manner. The student understands the meaning of data analytics in business processes and the value of it. The student is able to form a visualization of data sources and data transferring in business processes. The student is able to choose valuable methods and can design a data-analytics process plan. The student is able to make a plan for the implementation of the strategy.
