Learning outcomes
The course consists of three half day lectures, one day excursion and individual research. The aim of the course is to give an overview on cultural, social and economic development in Finland from middle ages to present time. The method is mixed cultural historical and sociological.

Lecture titles
1. Homes and houses. Design, architecture and life style in Finland.
2. History and identity. HIstorical monuments and cultual symbols in Finnish mindset.
3. Pulp Fiction.
- Political, social and economical dynamics in Finland.
-Sources of income and sectors of production and services
-Finland according the statistics
Learning material and recommended literature
Lecture materials in Moodle e-learning environment. Further reading and study materials informed during the lectures.
Exam retakes
There is no exam in this course. The evaluation is based on individual course tasks creared durin the studies.
Contents
Finnish culture course offers an overview on Finnish cultural heritage, present society and economical drivers. The course consist of three lectures, one day excursion and group and individual tasks. Main goal of the course is to guide the students to find valid professional sources of information on issues dealing with Finland.
