Implementation and methods of teaching
Studies contain online lectures by different themes and qualified experts as well as group work during all weekdays (not weekend) from June 7th to June 18th.
The detailed programme is provided to the participants well in advance before the summer school period. Students are required to prepare a pre course task before the contact period and participate actively in working life based project work in international and interdisciplinary groups. Group work is supervised by teachers and work-life partners.

Participation in summer school programme between June 7th and June 18th is required.

Lectures and meetings in Zoom, detailed information is provided to the participants before the study period.
Student time use and work load
Use of time is planned according to 5 ECT credits requirements, so the student needs to reserve 5 x 27 hrs for this course.
Contents
The themes of the summer school are related to European Green Capital year 2021. The four themes are: carbon-neutral life, circular economy, citizen participation and nature and water. The lectures provide expert information dealing with the themes, The lecturers represent all the universities and university of applied science in Lahti.
Interdisciplinary group works are based on work-life ideas provided by different organisations in Lahti region.

Assessment criteria
Completed preparatory work, online attendance requirement, active participation in lectures, workshops, project assignments, and presenting results.
