Osaamistavoitteet
The learning outcomes of this subject are as follows:To obtain the knowledge from mathematical modelling of mechatronic systems, to be able to build a mathematical model of mechatronic system, to obtain the skills to create the simulation model in MATLAB-Simulink, run the simulation and simulate the response of the system on the input signal and to understand the basic principles of the computer simulation.The subject is focused on the basic methods of the mathematical physical modelling and creating of the mathematical models with lumped parameters and use of the simulation models in Mechatronics.

• Modelling, mathematical and simulation models, physical models, their use in engineering, overview of the methods of the analytical and experimental identification.
• Modelling of the mechanical systems, analytical methods of the creating of the mathematical model.
• Creating of the block diagram of the simulation model in Simulink.
• Modelling of the hydraulic systems, creation of the mathematical models and their realization in MATLAB-Simulink.
• Modelling of the electrical subsystems of the mechatronic systems.
• Programming and verification of the simulation model in MATLAB-Simulink.
• Case study of the use of the simulation models in the development cycle of the mechatronic system - modelling of the car suspension, car breaking, modelling of the ABS.
• Project solving
