- plan, implement and evaluate care for the most common medical-surgical patients taking into account patient safety
- apply evidence-based nutrition recommendations in the care and guidance of a medical-surgical patient
- maintain professional interaction with patients or clients and their significant others in guidance situations and in resource-based support situations
- report orally and document nursing care
- utilize evidence-based knowledge in care decisions of a medical-surgical patient
