Learning outcomes

Student is able to

-use basic concepts of logistics and supply chain management.
- the principles of value chain formation.
- identify the impact of logistics and supply chains on the company's profitability and competitiveness.
- describe the importance of customer orientation and stakeholder cooperation throughout the supply chain.

Implementation and methods of teaching

The course contains lectures, topics to discuss on lectures, searching for materials from sources, presentations of group or individual work.

Timing and attendance

Attention is highly recommended, learning is easier and more interesting when attending to lectures and to discussions.
Workshops are compulsory for all. Absence must be informed to the teacher.

Learning material and recommended literature

Slides from lectures will be provided to Moodle.
All assignments are compulsory in order to pass the course. Assignments are individual and group work, some of the work will be presented on lectures.

Moodle, campus lectures, (Zoom if needed), time to study on your own.

Contents

Preliminary content:
Supply Chain and value to the business
Basics on warehousing and transportation
Basics of procurement

Additional information for students: previous knowledge etc.

No preliminary knowledge needed.

Assessment criteria

Group work and individual work will be grated either pass / fail or with grades 1-5. Activity on lectures has a positive effect on grade. Missed deadlines will effect to the grade in a negative way.
