Implementation and methods of teaching

Online course

This online module will focus on evidence and its application in health care practice. In this module you will explore the meaning and importance of evidence and how evidence-based knowledge is being applied in social and health care practices. The module assist you to deepen your understanding evidence-based practice and simultaneously link the quality improvement and effectiveness of care and services. Achieving best practice through an evidence-based approach results in improved customers` outcomes and increased satisfaction of customers and staff in social and health care environment.

The module contains four parts which are structured in specific sequences of the content. It is essential that you complete each sequence that it has been structured. Therefore you will commence with sequence one and work your way through up till sequence four. Each of the four sequences include an assignment or assignments that you must complete before moving on to the next sequence. Each assignment is related to the content of the specific sequence and therefore you need to explore the content carefully in advance before attempting the assignment. Scientific articles, PowerPoint presentations, and videos are used to describe the theory of evidence based knowledge in social and health care.
