The student is able to
- follow and analyse the international discussion on welfare needs of children and young people
- identify and communicate good practices of child and family-centered services

Content:
Comparisons of current national and international trends in child welfare/ child protection and educative work.
Implementation:
Students can choose one of the alternative implementations:
1. Intensive week "Finnish and German Welfare State in transition to....?"
2. Online learning assignments.

1) Intensive week in Neubrandenburg, Germany week 17: 20.-24.4.20

Comparisons of current national and international challenges in child and family services.

The student is able to
- follow and analyse the international discussion on welfare needs of children and young people
- know and communicate good practices of child and family centred services

- express familiarity with the themes of the study unit
- communicate in a verbal and written form to one's own national and international professional target groups from one's own profession perspective
The student is able to (level 3)
- make relevant international comparisons on the themes of the study unit
- communicate in a verbal and written form to one's own national and international professional target groups on the themes related to the study unit
The student is able to (level 5)
- use critically and innovatively national and international sources of information on the themes related to the study unit
- make critical international comparisons on the themes of the study unit
- develop relevant applications in one's own professional field
