Contents

Experimental publication design – working with paper in a post digital print environment
Publications have survived the transition to the post digital world, but have done so in a darwinian way. What we now see is a trend toward the smaller and far more personalized content instead of huge press runs. The small are now on the same footing as the giants, and creativity is what sets the good apart from the bad.
In this course we will investigate following themes:
–The designer as an active intelligent creator of content
–Understanding the dialectical nature of design and how it influences mainstream vs. counterculture design
–Do-it-yourself as a professional attitude
–Learning to communicate with words and images in fresh and interesting ways
Completion of all assigments is required in order to complete the class.

Additional information for students: previous knowledge etc.

NOTE: Enrollments are approved primarily for students of groups GR17 and GR18.
