Learning outcomes
The student is able to
- obtain, utilise and assess R&D-related information and their sources critically
- follow the rules of ethical principles applied in all research activities
- use the most typical research and development methods of their own field
- write a scientific report and is familiar with the requirements for language and style and how to document the sources
Implementation and methods of teaching
This course is based both on distance learning and contact lessons. Materials are given in Reppu. Contact lesson 10 - 12h/1 cr. During the course students will write a small scale research report based on the data collected in groups.
The initial exam based on the book will be taken individually at the beginning of the course .

Course evaluation is based on student’s knowledge and practical skills. Evaluation criteria in Statistical Analysis: exercises or project works or exam. Evaluation criteria in Research Methods: exercises and exam.
