Assignments on Moodle learning platform + Zoom meetings/clinics
-Active individual work on field-specific vocabulary (qualifications, work, business)
-A video presentation: individual or pair work (product or service)
-A group job interview in English

Timing and attendance

The Moodle learning platform will be available for students on week 37.
Zoom meeting times will be marked in your schedule and Moodle Calendar.
Due assignments will be shown in your Moodle calendar.

Student time use and work load

The estimated course workload is 4 x 27 hours, including an online kick-off session, online clinics, an online job interview session in small groups (Zoom), and homework, reading, and course assignments and activities.

Contents

Basic tools for language learning; business themes and concepts discussed in English; education and qualifications; identifying key job skills and tackling job-related situations in English; basic presentation skills.

Additional information for students: previous knowledge etc.

Intermediate to upper-intermediate level skills in English (e.g. CEFR B2 / IELTS 6-6.5). Note: This course does not review English grammar. It is expected that the students enrolled in the course have good intermediate-level English skills. In addition, it is expected that the enrolled students have good time management skills and know how to study online.
