Learning outcomes

The student is able to
- prepare and deliver business presentations in English
- become aware of different techniques used in presentations
- understand the role cultural aspects play in presentations

Implementation and methods of teaching

100 % online course. Preparing and delivering speeches and presentations in English. Priority given to LLTILIL21KV students!

Timing and attendance

Compulsory assignments and virtual meetings in Zoom (starting 20 January). Some of the online meetings are compulsory. These sessions will be scheduled and they will be visible in your course timetable. No substitute work.

Alternative completion methods

RPL/ recognition of prior learning:
Contact the instructor during the first weeks of January if you have extensive experience in using English for business presentations. Use the eRPL in the Peppi system to apply for the recognition of prior learning.

Contents

Preparing, recording and delivering online speeches and presentations in English. One live presentation online towards the end of the course (three dates to choose from).

Assessment criteria

Assignments graded Pass/Fail or on the scale 0-5, peer feedback and self-assessment.

The student is able to diversely apply the acquired techniques, models and processes to give effective presentations and speeches in English.
