• know how to create illustrations that support journalistic content
• know how to define the target group of a publication and create suitable illustrations
• know how to work together with the editorial staff of a publication

Implementation and methods of teaching

NOTE: An intensive workshop week during week nr. 43!

Timing and attendance

Mandatory attendance for atleast 80 % of timetable AND on both first and last teaching session.

Contents

In the intensive workshop, we will address the challenges that journalistic illustration faces in today’s rapidly changing media. What’s the role of illustration in a 24h news cycle? We will work with current pieces of international journalistic work to learn how to respond to the different expectations of illustration in journalism.

Additional information for students: previous knowledge etc.

Media studies for at least 60 ects completed.
